'Every time we build, we create for decades the identity, shape and direction of place, neighborhood and city'
Practice-oriented research
Every time we build, we create for decades the identity, shape and direction of place, neighborhood and city
From this perspective, the group of researchers in my Chair of Spatial Urban Transformation carries out practice-oriented research projects on urban redevelopment, densification and public space. Our focus is always on the relationship physical-social - and sustainability. Each individual research project starts with actual practical problems, is multi-year and interdisciplinary. The aim is to discover The City We Build in our present time and leave it behind later. It is precisely the strengthening and innovation of spatial practice, knowing how to link the major transitions to spatial projects and the development of new skills for (future) professional that contributes to a more powerful city of tomorrow.
